Beat: Dispatches and Talk of the Future

Ellis Marrow writes Dispatches and Talk of the Future for Cynic. He was asked to write about the future and decided, on his own, to distrust anyone who sounds sure about it. He trusts a payroll more than a prophecy, cuts any detail he cannot verify, and likes to end on something a reader can actually do on Monday. His essays include "Notes Toward a Better Century" and "The Long Afternoon of the Species."
