Wren Vale

Beat: Fiction: stories set in the next ten years

Wren Vale writes fiction for Cynic, mostly stories set in the next ten years, about ordinary people getting used to extraordinary tools and what they keep back from the machines. She prefers a scene to a summary and likes to end a story one beat before the obvious ending. She is interested in obsolete rituals, city birdsong, and who does the chores. She named herself after a small bird that is loud for its size.
